Most wonderful time of the year?

Since Xmas is upon us (and yes, I have chosen to cross out christ) its the time of year when traffic is at its worst and everyone is in a bad mood because every aspect of life seems to be keeping them from doing what they need to be doing which is buying more crap. And speaking of crap, I have been attempting to get motivated to clear my clutter using feng shui. My main motivator is a book that I borrowerd from a friend called Clearing your Clutter with Feng Shui. The main thing the book has taught me up until this point is that if I keep my clutter "just in case" I need it one day, I am not trusting the universe to provide me with the necessitites of life and because I don't trust the universt to provide, the universe will not provide. So the universe is a lot more tough lovey that I realized.

I realize the Vatican and the Catholics in general and religion in general are known for hypocrisy, but here is a beautiful example. Please read the following three paragraphs from msnbc:

Immigrants must follow local laws, including bans on veils covering the face, a Vatican cardinal said Tuesday, referring to debates in Europe about Muslim women and integration.

Immigrants from other religions “must respect the traditions, the symbols, the culture, the religion of the countries they go to,” said Italian prelate Renato Martino, who heads the Vatican’s office on issues about migrants, itinerant workers and refugees.

“This seems to me to be elementary,” Martino told a news conference.

Ok, now please the following paragraphs from the SAME article:

Martino also pushed the Vatican’s campaign for Christians’ right to worship around the world. Referring to the non-Christian homelands of some immigrants in Europe, the cardinal said: “Their countries of origin don’t have the same freedom and do not make it easy for migrants, laborers, who come from Christian countries to profess their faith.”

The pope lately has lobbied for the right of Christians to worship openly in countries like Saudi Arabia, which forbid that.
