Video killed the radio star
As I sit here at my horrible evil job, I am once again hearing the "spontaneous" banter about NBC's new line up on the radio. Must See TV is back everyone - Thank Jesus!!!!!!! How do I know its back, you ask? Simple - the spontaneous banter-ers just told me. I guess the thought behind that commercial is that we are all so fucking stupid that if we hear people talk on the radio we will assume it is just our local DJs that we hear everyday, that we know and trust, whose advice we will listen to with regards to our television choices. The flaw in this plan is twofold - the first one being that I am not stupid enough to think they are my normal DJs. The second flaw? Even if they were my normal DJS, I don't give a shit what shows they watch. If I cared what my DJs thought, I would sell my house, rent a "Village Apartment", trade in my Honda for a Rusty Wallis Volkswagon, go to some kind of local boot camp, and of course, schedule an appointment with good old Dr. Boothe.
